The yellow "x new comments" in categories/all

I basicly want to knowif it is possible to get the yellow box stating how many new comments there are in each discussion in categories/all, meaning that each category would display how many new comments there are inside that category.

    I go a little OT: is it possible to specify different classes for the yellow "x new comments" according to their number?

    In Italian 1 new => 1 nuovo messaggio and 2 and more => 2... nth nuovi messaggi. It's different.
