Three Question With Vanilla

Hi all ,

i hava three question for use vanilla , so can you help me .

1、how can i mark a discussion not only as Announcement , just like the office forums , i want mark the great content my user post , for example , mark the as 'GreateJob'. is there any plugin ?

2 how can i order the categories which already define in my database . is there has any place to config it ?

3 same to question 2 , i want custom default category when one use what post something , can i do it ?

1. still no idea
2. Use x00's great plugin, collapsable categories.
3. Not sure users can do that on ad hoc basis, you can select default cat in dashboard though.

For question 2:
You can easily select categories in the admin dashboard and drag them around to your liking.

1、i found in the office forum , one disscussion can be marked as "vanilla2" "vanilla1" "approver" , etc ,the thing i wan`t to know ,how can i get this feacher in my forum ?

2 in one forum , there has so many Categories , it list on the sider box , how can i order them manualy , the default order is not my expect .

3 same to question 2 , in the post discussion form , i want make one Category to be default , when people not choose the Category , mark the discussion to that.

thanks for you answer , but this plugin is not my expect .

it just plus one word in front of the discusssion title.

i want a 'mark' , style like one discussion be a "Annocement" so can you help me again

I am sorry, but I do not know what you mean.

Just like any discussion can have something in the discussion title like 'documentation', 'solved', etc, etc, this discussion prefix is in my opinion exactly what you need.

The problem is that you need to change the sourcecode of vanilla for that.
announcements, closed threads have a field in the database that marks the thread as closed or 'announced'. If you want something special, you need to change the source for that.

What I would do, if I were you was to take a really close look at the discussion prefix plugin. You might want to give the thread a prefix and then ... apply that special label that you like so much. A label that shows your prefix.

Thats a better way, using prefixes . Then reference them using css
