Vanilla forum homepage in wordpress

Hi

I've decided to go with Vanilla forum for my website I'm putting together. I want the forum to be the main focus of my website and have installed this now onto my wordpress site successfully.

My question, is there a way to make the vanilla forum my homepage, without any redirects or embedding, on wordpress so that the actual forum sits on the main domain name?

Or should I look at another solution and not use wordpress?

    Thanks - I've now installed Vanilla on my main domain and can have wordpress running in a subdirectory
