Are majority of these features available in Vanilla Open source?

I came across this link : http://vanillaforums.com/info/plugins which points out the good plugins available for cloud hosting of vanilla. How many of these plugins are available with open source vanilla?
I cannot test vanilla on my server now due to some time restraints, so it would be really helpful if some one can give an outline of this. Features like live search, sso , social share, mail chimp integration are nifty and integral, I guess.

    Welcome to the community.

I'm afraid it sounds like you are saying 'I'm too busy, someone do this for me.'

As it is, this question, in various forms, has been asked on a number of occasions.

If you have a bit of a search, I am sure you will find the relevant discussions, but long answer short, most plugins available on Cloud hosted Vanilla have something similar in the open source Addons.

  • Ahh, my exam are going on now, otherwise I usually test drive something before asking questions about it, thanks. :)

@rahul36, I think Linc has done a great job here.

If you are "too busy" hosted might be a solution. You can also sign up free for 30-days to try it out here.

  • @adrian nope, we will be going with either free version vanilla or nodebb, because we already have three VPS for our three communities, so any cloud solution will be an overkill for our budget. We are just a non profit student's organization.

@rahul36, no worries -- just wanted to point it out for those who may have the same question.
