Vanilla index directory recommendation

edited September 2006 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
you should have an index.html page inside all the directories so nobody can look at it, I'd recommend the next release of Vanilla have this setup ;-)

Comments

  • Or! You can just turn it off by using a real method, like editing your .htaccess file! Perhaps something like this? IndexIgnore *
/me doesn't know much about .htaccess files
  • I thought all the directories (important ones, atleast) had .htaccess files in?
  • no such thing as a real method it's all relative to ones state of mind ;-) the htaccess works nicely too but if you want a custom error or forbidden page an index.html would do the trick
