Custom fields for posts add-on?

edited November 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Hello, It is frequently useful to be able force users to include certain information in their posts. It would be nice if the Vanilla discussion post page could include radio buttons, dropdown lists, checkboxes, etc. so that the user can select values that the admin has already defined. I found this extension: http://lussumo.com/addons/index.php?PostBackAction=AddOn&AddOnID=20 But it's for the user's profile page, not the post page. Is there any way to adapt this? Thanks a lot!

  • i'll let you know once i have implemented custom fields for post.php for entering event information. I mentioned it in this post http://lussumo.com/community/discussion/7426/customfields-help/#Item_1
  • Hey, thanks for the reply! Good, I'm glad you're working on this. I will be waiting for this functionality.
  • This would also be good for comments as well.
  • Is there any progress for this? I would like to add a price field to where you post so people have to fill it in.
  • @rockx This thread is 3 years old.
  • I know but I couldn't find anything regarding adding custom fields for posting. I was hoping someone had a solution.
  • Are you looking for vanilla 1 or 2 though?
