Connecting Vanilla to Wordpress via proxyconnect; Cache disaster

Hi, I used the vanilla proxyconnect for both wordpress and vanilla forums. I have synchronized them properly and can use them.
However, when i try to log out.....its a nightmare.
The cache remains there, it signs out of wordpress but not out of vanilla.
What is worse, is that it wont let me log back into wordpress, unless i temporarily rename the plugins folder on Filezilla, effectively disabling all plugins and 'resetting' whatever is causing the bug.
note: the bug only triggers after i try to log out of one of them.

How do i resolve this?

    Okay. First try and clear your cookies after you sign out when your "nightmare" starts and see if that lets you sign in again.

    Check to make sure your cookie domains are the same in Vanilla and Wordpress. Examine your cookies while signed in to both to see what they are.
